Biography
David draws from over 13 years experience as a town planner, in his role as Director of Humphreys Reynolds Perkins Gold Coast. During this time David enjoyed seven years at the Gold Coast City Council in both strategic and statutory town planning capacities. David was employed in a senior capacity within the council's Planning Environment and Transport Directorate, assessing a range of significant development applications within the southern part of the city.
In private practice, David has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use development proposals ranging from greenfield subdivisions to large mixed-use tower developments.
David is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and is a committee member of the Urban Development Institute of Australia on the Gold Coast.

Humphreys Reynolds Perkins is a Brisbane City Council accredited consultant for RiskSmart.
RiskSmart is an application assessment and approval process that allows low-risk development proposals to be fast tracked with a commitment from Brisbane City Council to decide those applications within 5 business days.
In addition to saving time, RiskSmart applications may also qualify for a discount in Council assessment fees of up to 30%.
Eligible development proposals range from certain types of subdivisions, houses and multi-unit dwellings to extensions to shopping centres, industrial uses and prescribed tidal works.
